    About Jisr

Jisr is a free, non-emergency psychological support line operated by trained volunteers offering initial emotional support through active listening. It provides a safe, confidential, and judgment-free space for anyone experiencing emotional distress or psychological pressure.

Jisr is not a crisis or emergency line and does not replace professional therapy, but rather acts as a bridge of support until professional care is accessible.

    Vision

To build a compassionate community where emotional support is accessible, stigma-free, and offered with humanity.

     Mission

To provide a safe space for people to be heard, supported, and guided — through trained volunteers who offer psychological first aid and refer individuals to appropriate services when needed.

     Objectives

    • To offer psychological first aid and emotional support to individuals in distress.
    • To reduce emotional isolation and enhance mental well-being in the community.
    • To raise awareness about the importance of mental health and seeking support.
    • To build a trusted referral system for professional care.
    • To empower volunteers with effective active listening and support skills.

    • Empathy: We meet people with compassion and without judgment.
    • Confidentiality: We respect privacy and handle all interactions ethically.
    • Accessibility: We are here for anyone who needs to talk.
    • Integrity: We serve with honesty, clarity, and commitment.
    • Empowerment: We help individuals take a first step toward emotional wellness.
